Accepting my inner Child

When I first re-established contact with my inner child it was difficult. My child was angry, hurt, emotional. He acted like every little child would react if neglected and not loved by the adult I have become. It was very hard for me to see this behaviour going on inside of me and I didn't know what to do with the upset child in me. I came to terms with the little fellow when I saw he was hurt. I felt I was responsible for letting the little man stand on his own, without the nurturing love of a responsible parent. As soon as I accepted the emotions of my inner child, I came to see that the only thing he wants is love and attention. This was all he ever needed and it was about time for me to start giving it.
Today I accept the little child in me, now and forever.
