Community

As some of you already realize, my blog writings, the 4blogseasons, are born because of Zaadz, Me and Shakti Gawain ,  @ the end of 2005 I got  her little book, from 1992, with the title Awakening, A Daily Guide to Conscious living, published by New World Library, San Rafael. This way she brings me every day a subject that I Read and Contemplate in my mind and blog. (Inner and outer mind!) :-) I asked official written clearance from the publisher and Gawain's management to use her book for this project and I was very happy to receive her blessings through her management. SHAKTI THANK YOU! (~deep bow~)

So all 4blogseasons you read come out of my mind but/and  IS inspired by subject and order according to this little "bible", to which I add my thoughts and ideas.

Everywhere I go I take this little book and every day it is a surprise to see what  I have to think about and then blog about it. That is all. 

Today the subject is COMMUNITY. Remember in 1992 when the little book was published,  there was no virtual community on the internet and it took almost 14 years before this community zaadz.com started.

My sense of community was underdeveloped. It was the internet that brought me back to this sense. The word social community gave me the shivers when I was Young. This is because in the Calvinistic Netherlands in the 1950's and 60's social control was scary. In the '70's when I grew up, the community was changing into a more individual society and social control started to decay. I loved it because I felt alone my entire life, I hated community thinking, I wanted to be an strong individual. Unfortunately being a strong individual in the same society I just described is dangerous. Here in the Netherlands we like to chop any head off that comes above the grass. (Dutch expression?) Another fine Dutch credo: "You better do normal that is crazy enough......" All rubbish! Nevertheless there is a reason for all of this.......

Anyway....I did not care and lost my head several times, found it again, cleaned it and put it right on top of me again, where it belongs! (lol) And got on with the show! I am still standing, with my head on top of me. And now it is 2006, I am here at Zaadz, a community, where people empower themselves & each others. Sometimes I can hear it......the sound of NO chopping heads.......Love it. This community actually gives back what was lost a long time ago. Our society no longer is this social control system. We now have a community by choice. And I believe that our task is to bring this community feeling created in the virtual world back to the material world. How does that sounds? Simple? Easy? Impossible? 

We people need empowerment! endorsement, encouragement, to grow and grow high above the grass, to unlimited heights, we need enlightened people who will carry the torch back to day to day life, every day a magical experience, a celebration of LIFE!

In 1992 Shakti writes "We have to deliberate undertake steps to change our life circumstances and return to community thinking, the tribe, unity with others, who have the same goal....."

So SHAKTI, look @ us, See what we are doing over HERE!

WE ARE DOING IT!

Zaadz and its members, among others, are doing it! We create a critical mass community who only want a better WORLD for ALL and ONE!
